I am an artist who paints in various media: water colours, coloured chalk and pastels and pencil crayons. Along with brushes, toothpicks and sponges, I also use unconventional materials, such as string to paint eyelashes, grass or rainy weather streaks. I use razor blades for linear patterns, sandpaper for fading, smudging or blurring, and steel wool to blend water colours and pastels. I have even found a visually creative use for canola and olive oil in creating 3D effects. My art subjects may be portraits, landscapes, cityscapes, or florals.
